Methodology and Editorial Policy
Last updated: 16 Jan 2026
Neobankster is a research-driven directory and data platform covering crypto debit cards, crypto credit cards, and modern financial products often referred to as neobanks. Our goal is to provide accurate, comparable, and practical information that reflects how these products work in real-world usage, not just in marketing materials.
This page explains how we collect data, how we evaluate products, how ratings are formed, and how monetization is handled.
Scope of Coverage
Neobankster currently focuses on crypto debit and credit cards. Over time, coverage will expand to include additional financial solutions such as QR payments, remittance services, and payment rails.
The platform operates globally and lists products available across multiple regions, subject to issuer documentation and terms.
Inclusion Criteria
To be listed on Neobankster, a product must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A functioning, issued card product
- Publicly available documentation and terms and conditions
- An active online presence, including an official website and social media
- Evidence of real users and real-world usage
- No major red flags identified during a brief internal scam and legitimacy review
Waitlist-only products are not listed at this time. Discontinued products may be added in the future for reference purposes.
Regional Availability
For each card, we analyze issuer terms and official documentation to determine geographic availability. Where information is available, we display:
- Regions where the card is explicitly supported
- Regions that are explicitly restricted or banned
If regional information is unclear or not documented by the issuer, we do not speculate and only publish confirmed data.
Data Collection and Sources
Our primary data sources include:
- Official issuer websites
- Product documentation and terms and conditions
- Public pricing tables and disclosures
When marketing claims conflict with legal terms, the terms and conditions always take precedence.
User-submitted data is not currently used for factual verification. In the future, user input may be incorporated for rating and sentiment analysis.
Verification and Checkmarks
Neobankster uses two types of verification indicators:
- Blue checkmark: Data has been reviewed and verified by our team using official issuer sources
- Gold checkmark: Data has been verified and the issuer has a commercial relationship with Neobankster
Verification status never affects ratings or scores.
Update Frequency
Each listed product is reviewed at least once per quarter. We also strive to reflect major confirmed changes, such as fee updates, reward changes, or availability restrictions, within 24 hours.
Each listing displays a visible “last updated” date.
Cashback and Pricing Methodology
For cashback, we display the maximum available cashback across all card plans, even if it requires a premium tier.
For other details such as issuance fees, ATM limits, spending limits, and operational costs, we default to base or starter plans whenever possible. This approach reflects the most accessible option for a global audience and avoids overstating benefits that require premium subscriptions or large balances.
Ratings and Scoring
Neobankster assigns a single global rating to each product.
Current ratings are produced through internal team analysis and consider multiple factors, including:
- User reviews and overall sentiment
- Custody model and fund control
- Cashback and reward structure
- Fees, limits, and cost transparency
- Geographic availability
- Simplicity versus complexity of use
Token staking or lockups are not explicitly penalized at this stage. Security, custody, and issuer structure are factored into overall assessment.
The rating methodology may evolve over time as additional data sources and user-driven signals are introduced.
Editorial Process
All content is currently produced in-house by the Neobankster team and reviewed internally before publication. Editors and analysts are not publicly named at this time.
Editorial decisions prioritize accuracy, clarity, and user relevance over promotional considerations.
Sponsored Listings and Monetization
Neobankster uses affiliate links and offers paid featured placements.
- Affiliate links are identifiable by referral parameters in the link URL
- Sponsored placements affect visibility or placement only
- Payments never influence ratings, scores, inclusion decisions, or factual content
Products without monetization are still listed and evaluated using the same criteria as sponsored products.
Editorial Independence
Commercial relationships do not affect how products are scored, reviewed, or described. Neobankster does not accept payments to alter ratings, suppress negative information, or misrepresent product features.
Transparency and Disclaimer
Neobankster provides informational content only and does not offer financial advice. Users should independently verify details before applying for or using any financial product.
Crypto and fintech products involve operational and regulatory risks that can change rapidly.
User Feedback and Corrections
Users are encouraged to report inaccuracies or changes. We aim to investigate credible reports within one working day. Corrections are handled internally as part of our ongoing review process.
Methodology Changes
As Neobankster expands to cover additional products and incorporates new data sources, this methodology may be updated. Any changes will reflect our commitment to fairness, transparency, and practical usefulness for a global audience.
